Past Life/ Regression Therapy
(Deep memory healing)
Every human being has a natural desire to live a happy and meaningful life. (S)he is focussed on preserving or gaining mental and physical health, material safety, solidarity, acknowledgement and respect from others. Many people, though, find the realisation of this desire a great challenge. They are confronted with fears, sickness, financial problems, loneliness and estrangement, lack of appreciation, or they struggle with the meaning of life.
To overcome these problems, therapy is often needed. Through therapy, one may begin to understand which subconscious convictions and feelings are in the way of realising a happy and meaningful life. A form of therapy that provides insight into these processes and that is focussed on correc-ting such convictions and feelings is deep healing-therapy. Most of the time the expressions regression therapy, past life -therapy or reincarnation therapy are used in this field.
The starting point of regression therapy is based -like every other form of therapy- on certain (logic) assumptions.
The first of those assumptions is that a human being has not only a body, but a soul as well. The soul is often described as ‘the immaterial, or spiritual element, of non-earthly source and immortal, from which a human being lives’. The second assumption is that the human soul goes through a cycle of several incarnations. With ‘incarnation’ is meant a bonding of soul-energy with earthly matter, the human body in particular. Again and again a new personality will be developed out of this bonding.
The personality can be confronted with events, which are so painful or confusing, that they stay unfinished and even stay alive as traumas in the soul after the physical death. This unfinished business will block the natural vitalities of the soul.
To free this vitality the soul brings old traumas alive again in a new incar-nation, a new personality. Only this way, the chance is there to finish the trauma at the end. The bringing alive of old traumas starts already during the conception, pregnancy and birth of a human being. The parents of a new person play a crucial role in this process. The soul has bonded itself with them at the very moment of conception, because their personalities and circumstances seem to be convenient pre-eminently to ‘actualise’ unfinished business. This actualising which –by the way- can let develop new traumas, stays repeated until the personality has understood the ‘message from the past’.
The principle of past life therapy is that problems, whether you experience them as mental, emotional, physical or spiritual, originate in experiences that are unresolved, which can be tracked down, exposed and therapeu-tically re-lived.
Research shows that our memories store all the experiences from our past. These are not just the things we experienced yesterday or ten years ago, as a teenager, toddler or baby, but also what it was like to be born, what we experienced in our mother's womb (prenatal period), the moment of incarnation in this life, all our interlife experiences and all the previous lives we have lived. Past life therapy makes use of this memory, which is often called your subconscious or subconscious memory.
In past life therapy the word therapy implies the re-living and, when necessary, resolving of previously unresolved experiences in the past. It finds the link between problems in the present and unresolved experiences in the past, and works through those experiences until the problems dis-appear or are transformed.
With past life therapy we will go to the very beginning of a trauma, where shock was the result of fright. Working through unresolved experiences in the past (this life or past lives including death experiences) can do some integrating work on its own and let blocked energy flow free again.
Past life/ regression therapy differs from other therapies, firstly, because it gives serious consideration to experiences which appear to have taken place in a previous life. It uses these experiences in the therapeutic environment to eliminate or transform current problems. A second difference is the manner in which past life therapy makes use of the state of consciousness referred to as trance.
There are still a lot of misconceptions about trance. All too often, it is assumed that trance and hypnosis are synonyms. That is because hypnosis in everyday speech has two meanings: a certain state of consciousness and a collection of methods of inducing trance. Most people do not realize that trance is a very natural occurrence which many people experience daily. Anyone who becomes deeply absorbed in a book, film or a concert enters a light trance.
First there will be an intake. An initial interview is very important. I will have questions and will want to get to know you and your problem. Then a new appointment will be made for the first session.
People sometimes want to know how many sessions there will be needed. That depends on how deep the problem is and how much work you want to do yourself.
A session may take 2 hours.
